- I'm as confused as anyone to be agreeing with Rush Limbaugh, but he's write: "There's a racial component to this, we all know it's there...Obama's audience is the poor disadvantaged minorities and these big evil Wall Street Bankers and we all know who they are, and Obama's doing what? Getting even with them." Rich, predominately white, Wall Street executives nearly destroyed the global economy. And poor, predominately minority, people have been hit the hardest. The only thing Rush is wrong about is whose side any person with a conscience should be on.
- At the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) this weekend, one of Romney's top advisors, Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, stated that Romney's job's policy was, "If you really want to create a job and you don’t want to use words like shovel-ready and do it through a gov program, here’s an idea for you: If you want to create a job for a U.S. citizen tomorrow, deport an illegal alien today." Of course, when Alabama tried it on their own last year it turns out it cost them 140,000 jobs. But hey, who cares if Romney's immigration policy will help the economy as long as it properly demonizes brown people.
- One of the problems with attending an event like CPAC is that you might accidentally end up having dinner with a known white supremacist like Santorum did this weekend. But then, that's kind of the risk you take when showing up at any conservative convention these days.
- A couple weeks ago I wrote about an Oakland father who is being denied a life saving kidney transplant despite having a willing donor and his insurance being willing to cover the procedure. As a followup, more than 130,000 people contacted the hospital, and Jesus Navarro will be receiving his transplant.
